会长的话（十二）代代相传：为2017感恩

​每一个星期四（Thursday）清晨，我坐在手提电脑荧幕前面，写下圣灵感动我打从心底深处的感恩（Thanksgivings）事项，作为我一个星期一次没有认罪，没有祈求，只有单单感恩的祷告。

​将近尾声的2017年，是庆祝圣诞节的日子，也是充满感恩的日子，容许我整理一下今年每个星期四所献上的感恩，让这些感恩成为传扬上帝作为的称谢，不只是私下的感恩，也是公开的称颂。

​感谢主，去年十一月底年议会闭幕礼时，圣灵感动刚刚就职为新会长的我，呼吁教牧同工和会友领袖参与十二月6-8日的“以斯帖禁食祷告日”，为四年的年议会工作祷告，127位响应，同心进行三天的禁食祷告，带来了一整年爽快的生活和工作。感谢主，今年年议会期间再次呼吁大家再来举行这三天的禁食祷告，年会层面有256位参与（有一个堂会有百多位参与，故设立了堂会自己的群组）。

​感谢主，前任会长留下美好的行政基础，让新会长一上任，就有总干事和多位忠心的员工，成为会长的得力助手，让会长没有后顾之忧；甚至为会长遮风挡雨，拦阻无缘无故打扰会长的人士。平常声音温柔的陈总干，也会在电话上不惜“牺牲色相”的大声责备来电打扰的人，我就从来没有听过他这么凶的讲话声音！这种的声音本来不是感人的声音，但是却是莫名的感动我啊。

​感谢主，吾会供应给会长一所舒适的会长屋，宽敞的院子，新鲜的空气，充足的阳光，完备的设施，忠心的园丁和清洁工人，快速的网际网路，稳健奔驰的车子等，让会长心旷神怡，身体健康，生活愉快，事奉得力。

​感谢主，一开始，年会众部门主席和部员都认同吾会的会议太多和太长，需要更加有效率的进行；所以大家都同心合意地减少和缩短会议的时间，甚至年议会也缩短了一整天，我们也就有了一个爽快的年议会。十个教区的教区长也通力合作，有效率地带领牧区和教区的弟兄姐妹齐心协力地工作。

感谢主，在新的税务法令施行之后，年初，联邦政府愿意豁免教会的税务。感谢主，四月份，州政府也批准吾会在爱莲街建起六层楼总部大厦，更赐给吾会999的地契。感谢主，年底，年会也批准装修和提升卫国礼堂成为演唱会和会议中心。

​感谢主，三月份的传道师学校能够使用二十多张圆桌的小组方式进行，并且正式开始了每周一天的“卫斯理禁食祷告日”，在年会层面有120位牧者和会友领袖参与。

感谢主，今年能够在委任方面有一些更新；各堂会和牧者可以填写委任表格，委任部可以提早一个月开会，过程虽然有点繁琐麻烦，但有沉淀的机会，也让我学习做众人的仆人来服事人。

​主有说不尽的恩赐

​        感谢主，给我许多州内和州外的讲道机会，也让我写了约五十篇的贺词、献辞、文章、演词等，甚至按时完成了明年的启示录查经释义，这一切都是主的恩典；圣灵让我思路源源不绝，讲道滔滔不绝，头头是道，荣耀归主。

​感谢主，家里养了17年的二只乌龟，离家出走，一只离家之后不再回头（大概是去远方工作了？），但另外一只离家三次，回家三次（正如犹太人三次被掳三次回归！），最久一次是离家五个月，也及时赶回来，参加十二月份三天的以斯帖禁食祷告日（禁食祷告时，我们也没有给她喂食）！一开始它似乎就用幽怨的眼神回望我们。

​感谢主，年会鼓励和安排我夫妇俩去参加了以马忤斯之旅，精心门徒大会，和泰国清迈的静修营，让我夫妇俩重新得力。除了进修是主的恩典，也是主恩让我俩能够每年一起带领恩爱夫妇营，今年也能够多次地一起主讲婚姻家庭培灵会和营会。更感谢主的是给我一位贤慧的夫人，让我没有后顾之忧的事奉。

​感谢主，让我能够继续“乒篮”运动（是新总干在年会时的崭新用词，综合了我的挚爱运动——乒乓球和篮球），帮助我快乐地事奉。

​感谢主，让我这位怕壁虎，怕癞蛤蟆，怕人，怕鬼，怕行政，怕头晕，怕开会的人，有全能上帝的能力覆庇，主的刚强在我的软弱上更加彰显。感谢主，十字架的大能救赎我脱离罪恶和灭亡，更给我能力过得胜的生活。

​感谢主，圣诞节是主耶稣为你我降生的日子，圣诞节是为了受难节和复活节，主耶稣降生是为你我的罪受苦和受死，并且第三天复活，给你我新生命，更丰盛的生命。
