1991年初，一些由外地到达岛工作的青年信徒感觉没有崇拜的会所，心中盼望教会能够在达岛被兴起。
祷告中，终于在1991年8月4日成立了达岛布道中心，并在1992年尾提升为布道所。
最初几年，达岛布道所是由民都鲁的恩光堂所牧养。
基于布道处是租用达岛新巴刹一店屋楼上充当会所，为确使福音能够在达岛广传，且一劳永逸地解决聚会所的问题，建会所的计划就在1997年展幵，购买一间半独立屋充作聚会所,在2000年5月举行奉献礼，并标志着达岛布道处迈向新的里程碑。
