真光堂建于1937年。这是属于民丹莪的一处乡区教堂，曾经由于会友减少，而改为东南坡布道处。
当年，张恒泰、詹福朝、黄德林、吴华棠等5人发起创办教育，由陈胆悛热心献地，建校舍和教堂各一座。
上世纪70年代，由于地方动荡不安，乡民多外移,那一段时间，教会改在来安堂参与主日崇拜。
1988年，堂会又恢复崇拜，并且盖建了新教堂。唯由于会友未达到规定的25人，因此改为布道处。不过，近年又恢复为真光堂。
